Upgrading Memberships & Managing Paypal

Hello,

I am using the standard s2Member (not Pro), and have 4 membership levels. If a user signs up as level 1 (let's say this is an annual fee of $50) then later wants to upgrade their membership, to say a $100/year level 2, is that taken care of in PayPal by s2member? I mean will the user's $50/year subscription change to $100/year, or might they end up with 2 subscriptions, one at $50 and another at $100?

Many thanks for your help, and happy new year to all the members here.
Scott

Sorry, to add one more note to this... I understand how to use the subscriber modification buttons, but my point above is, what if the user clicks on a new level subscription button, instead of going through the 'upgrade' process (which would use the 'subscriber modification button')?

You can use a Level 2 button, not just the Modification one, as long as the user is logged into his account, the account will be upgraded, if he's not logged in, he'll be asked to register after checking out. You can test this yourself using test buttons with very low amounts (e.g. $0.01).

Does that help? :)
