log in error message

(In S2 member free ver.)
I'm getting the message:
"You attempted to edit an item that doesn’t exist. Perhaps it was deleted?" or "You can’t edit this item because it is in the Trash. Please restore it and try again." when I try to login to my site. I can then go to the "back to site" link and I'm logged in. Any ideas on how to fix this? (It was working fine before)

Thanks.

Where and when do you get this error? Is it when you try logging in as a member? If so, how are you getting to the login page? Is it after attempting to access something you didn't have permission to access?

That sounds like a problem with WordPress, not s2Member.

Could you try disabling s2Member and then check if you get that same message? Make sure WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Deactivation Safeguards is set to Yes so that you don't lose any of your s2Member settings when deactivating.

Also, if it's a WordPress problem, you might want to try clearing your browser cache and restarting all your browsers.
