Moving some header navigation to the sidebar

Hi

Bit of a basic question... how do you move some of the header navigation links to the sidebar?
Jason alluded to this in one video and made it sound easy to do! I am trying to get a handle on the Wordpress codex "Customising Your Sidebar" ... and I'm still not sure how. I really don't want to mess up.
I have BuddyPress and S2member on the same installation.

Thanks for any help... :)

I'm not sure about BuddyPress, but WordPress has a Menus page to manage those depending on what the theme allows. You can also use widgets to add things to your sidebar. WP Admin -> Appearance -> Widgets and Menus

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks Cristián! A simple solution which is just up my street! I overlooked the Widgets>Menu part of the control panel and it is really excellent. S2Member is also amazing in how it integrates with Wordpress and BuddyPress, simply superb! I have been checking out the Codex on how to 'Customise the SideBar' and create 'Good Navigation Links' and 'Function Reference/wp list pages'... pretty crazily in-depth .. whereas the Widgets>Menu is so quick and painless :D
