Hello. I've recently upgraded to s2member pro to be able to integrate my business paypal account with the pro-forms and am utilizing Express Checkout instead of PayPal pro for now. I've watched the tutorials, read the forum and followed all the directions, but my form is still missing the billing method credit card images that need to show above the Pay With PayPal section.

We're supposed to take the site live tomorrow, but need help with this so we can test it before taking it live.

Hi cclaybaker,

Paying via Credit Card on a Pro-Form is not possible with PayPal Express Checkout; you'll need to be using PayPal Pro for that. See this thread for more info: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2634

I looked at the links above, but I don't see a Pro-Form, only a message about upgrading to PayPal Pro (if that's what you're doing, you should be fine once that's in place).

Hmmm....well, that's not what I understand this video tutorial to say at about 5:30, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IE2FT2LXtGU. And, this documentation under http://www.s2member.com/support/, 'Do I Have To Use PayPal Pro?' and following steps #1 and #2.

Regardless, I'm taking the financial leap and upgrading to PayPal Pro with the Re-Occurring payment option. Hopefully this will fix the problem and fingers crossed, it won't take long for it to pay for itself.

The video explains that you can integrate Express Checkout with Pro Forms, but the credit card / payment still takes place on PayPal's website, not on your site (i.e., not on your Pro-Form).

You can use the Pro-Form to collect information during the checkout process and even have users create their username/password before checkout, but then your customer will click the 'Checkout with PayPal' button to complete the payment on PayPal's website (including accepting credit cards without a PayPal account; this is still done on PayPal's website). When the payment is complete, the customer will be returned to your site.

To process the entire payment on your site without your customer leaving your domain (i.e., the customer types their credit card number and billing info into fields on the Pro-Form), you'll need to have PayPal Pro.

Does that make sense?

Yes, it makes total sense and I understood all of that. The problem we were having was that the credit card icons were not appearing in the form, after I had changed the code as recommended in the s2member support page. The radio buttons were displaying under blank images. I could click on the radio button and it would drop down to allow for entry of the credit card info, but we didn't know what credit card we were selecting.

Sorry I had to pull it down before you were able to see what it was doing.

In that case I would check to make sure the s2Member CSS is loading properly. If you do "view source" on page with the Pro Form, you'll find a line in the <head> that loads the s2Member CSS file.

Try accessing that URL directly in your browser and see if the CSS loads. If it doesn't load (or if you get a 404 error), you'll want to check this thread: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=14787
