Hi There,

I have an idea to implement download opportunities below:

1. Free member have 3 downloads - resolved
2. Paid member have unlimited downloads - resolved
3. Free member can buy download credit also - question?

For example: free member buy 5 or 10 credits and can do it repeatedly without upgrading membership level.

Is there optimal solution inside the plugin? I cant find the answer in this forum.

But, I am not sure which code I need to embed for purchase download limit?

Hi Vahka,

The download counter is reset and new "credits" are added to their account whenever they re-purchase a membership. So, if your user runs out of downloads and they want more, they can simply purchase the same membership again (while they're logged in) and they will receive however many downloads are allowed with that membership.

But, Jason Caldwell wrote: "The sale of Independent Custom Capabilities does NOT affect anything about their Membership, it only adds new Capabilities, nothing more."

My situation one more time:
Free Member has 3 Free downloads - appointed via Basic Download Restrictions
So, free member run out these 3 - member can purchase for example 20 credit for download

It can make happen with Paypal Capability (buy now) Buttons. Right?
I can`t find the right code for adding to Custom Capabilities field.

Custom Capabilities and Download Restrictions are different.

Let's say you sell Level 1 membership with 10 downloads allowed. After a Level 1 user uses up all his downloads, he can purchase Level 1 membership again and he will be allowed another 10 downloads.

I understand they are different. Just I was on wrong way to implement custom capabilities for download credit.
This is better idea to solve this with additional membership level.
