S2 Member Question - email addresses

Hi, we have recently installed S2member Pro. Is there a way to allow the same email address to register for membership twice. Ideally we need a member to be able to sign up again if they wish to for membership at the same level again or a different level. At the moment when you attempt to sign up a second time using the same email address, an error appears saying that email address is already registered. Many thanks.

If the user already has an account and tries to make another one with the same email the problem is that they will already have used that email. So, did you delete the user before trying to make him another account?

Thanks for your reply. No, we didn't delete it first so that is why, but we were hoping there was a way to allow someone to sign up for a membership more than once using the same email address - eg for 2 memberships within a short space of time (without having to delete their first account). Maybe this is just not possible???

Have had a look at the video. I wonder if there is a way then to set custom capabilities for a user level which would allow a user to re-enter their information in the create profile section of the payment page again without the error message coming up that the email address is already in use by a user??

I believe custom capabilities don't work that way, since it's normal to buy various custom capabilities.

You'll have to try though to be sure.
