Login integration, nothing more

Hi guys - I'm new here. I bought s2member under the impression that there was a community developing addons that we'd need and, most importantly, the encoding issue (or lack of it.) I respect that decision and applaud you guys for doing so. I just got positively nailed by another membership script that is partially encoded and I was left unable to fix things as a result. It's why key items like registration must be open for me and thanks for making this possible.

OK, now that I'm off the soapbox :) I'm looking to do some integration with forums that I will eventually move off of - such as vbulletin (phasing out these sites soon), whmcs and some other forums. All I want is a unified user name and password where registering in wordpress (and changing passwords) will feed the vbulletin database. Don't care about cookies as I'll have users login and stay logged in with their cookies if necessary.

I'm wondering if anyone has done just user/password/email sync - one way - between Wordpress/s2 and vbulletin. Would greatly appreciate it if you have!

Hi boldplans,

Thank you for the KUDOS. :)

vBulletin integration is not currently supported by s2Member but as all the code is available to you, it would technically be possible to hire someone to write the necessary code. However I don't personally know of anyone who's done this yet. (You can try searching through these threads to see if you find anything helpful: search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keywords=vbulletin)

Thanks for the reply. I did a very thorough search of the forum and found nobody who has successfully done this. I am creating a basic login integration that will work as we transition all of our forums off of vBulletin, which will take a couple of weeks to do. In the meanwhile, this login integration should hopefully work sufficiently.

Thank you for the update, boldplans.

It would be fantastic if you could share your solution with the community here as I'm sure there will be others who find it useful! :)

I'm not sure what I can share at no cost as it's costing me a good amount to get it working. vBulletin does not like to play with anything else easily. Don't mind making something available at a very reasonable cost to help me defray my out of pocket.
