Users are seeing the membership options page when typing in my site's url without the www

I've utilized the .htaccess modification however I still am being redirected to the membership options page? Is this not possible to do with the htacess edits?

Yes, it's possible with an .htaccess. Have you tried searching Google and trying the suggestions that come up?
