STARTING W/ S2MEMBER???

I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF FIXING SOMETHINGS ON MY SITE. THE SITE IS CURRENTLY BLOCKED FROM SEARCH ENGINES. I AM HOPING TO RELEASE IT SOON. THAT BEING SAID IS THEIR A WAY TO CHECK OUT HOW S2MEMBER WILL WORK WITHOUT GOING PUBLIC?? OR SHOULD I JUST SUCK IT UP AND RELEASE IT TO THE SEARCH ENGINES AND DEAL WITH IT FROM THEIR???

km, unless there is some super sensative reason you don't want anything on your site viewed until you're ready for grand opening, I would suggest just making it public for the short period of time it takes to test out your S2Member settings and such. It doesn't take long, really. You can always toggle your visibility settings in WP (private or public), and then even if your site is not blocked by the search engines, it is still invisible to anyone until you go public from within WP.
