MediaTemple - Hosting Feedback

I'm about to follow Jason's suggestion and get a hosting account through MediaTemple: http://mediatemple.net/

The hassles that I am experiencing with share hosting are simply too much. I have 3 active websites with S2Member and another 6+ on the way. I want them all on one hosting account that can handle them and all their traffic and spikes.

Before I take the plunge to MediaTemple, I thought I 'd solicite feedback. Anyone else using them for S2Member? Anything else, that I need to be aware of before switching? Their interface seems simple enough - somewhat similar to Cpanel.

Thanks!! - Ryan

By the way - I'm not switiching all at once. I think I will just create new sites on MediaTemple and move the others as the need arises.

Hi, Ryan -

I used MT for several years and recently switched. Their customer service was superb, Plesk is easy to learn if you're already familiar with cPanel, and their uptime is also excellent.

I switched reluctantly after experiencing months of slow load times for my sites and not really getting a good explanation about why, other than to keep buying higher levels of service -- which didn't help. It's not that they didn't try to tell me, it's that I'm not a professional geek and their explanations were completely over my head. That may not be the case for you, though! :)

Thanks! Were the problem sites running S2member by chance? What hosting package did you choose? I'm hoping the "grid" $20 per month will be enough for me.....

cheers! - Ryan

No, I wasn't using s2member yet. I had a dedicated server, too (their dv package).
