Questions about developing a payment gateway

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck writing their own payment gateway. I'm in the process of doing this for a merchant provider called Beanstream. I've done this before with other applications, but am kind of stuck on how to do this with S2 Member Pro.

At this point, I copied all of the ClickBank features and created new ones for Beanstream. I'm sort of stuck right now trying to figure out where things like the gateway username and password are stored.

I'm fairly proficient in PHP and WordPress, but am looking for any documentation that might be available or if anyone can point me in the right direction. I'm happy to stumble my way through... but need a little more info to get me over this hurdle.
