I have the latest version of wordpress and s2member.

I have gone through all the paypal settings 3 times and they are correct.

When i make a purchase it goes through fine redirects me to my site/?s2member_paypal_notify=1

Then quickly redirects me to the homepage i dont receive any emails with a registration link.

I have re installed multiple times with no joy.

Thanks

In the wordpress S2member general options, under email email configuration, does the from email address end in @yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is the web address where your blog lives)?

Most webservers don't allow sending emails with a from address that isn't hosted by them.

Mine didn't work when I had my gmail address there, but did when I put an email address that ended in my domain name.

cheers

Did that stop the redirection after payment to? My email has been working for everything else as i have the plugin configure smtp. So if i change the email address and add it to my paypal it should work?

Thanks

I have the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin installed and having my gmail address as the from address didn't work. Maybe S2Member uses its own email sending routine?

Have you entered your PDT Identity Token in S2Member Options --> Paypal options --> PayPal® PDT/Auto-Return Integration? as well as configured the required settings in paypal that are explained in the PayPal® PDT/Auto-Return Integration section?

I don't think the from email address in S2member --> general options --> email configuration has to be associated with your paypal account. (but mine uses the same email address for both)

Yeah ive done that. Ill try the email when i get some spare time but i had done all the PDT and IPN settings and as soon as payment is done it goes straight to thew home page after briefly going to the correct notify url it quickly redirects to home.

are you offering a free trial period? (which can done when generating the paypal buttons)

Apparently there is an issue with a free trial period and paypal standard integration - see the last post in this thread http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=370&p=2457&hilit=free+trial#p2457

Do you have the home page as the "Membership Options Page"?

Do you have the whole site locked down? coz it sounds like s2member might be doing the auto-redirect thing it does for non-logged in ppl.

What other plugins do you have enabled?

Do you have any custom fields for the registration process?

Cheers

Some ppl lock their whole site down with S2Member so that if your not logged in you can't access anything, and when you go to their web address you see the login page.

Does your theme use the standard wordpress login or does it have a custom page?

When you go to http://mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-login.php?action=register (after you substitute your website path in the link) does it show the page? or does that redirect to the home page as well?

Does temporarily deactivating your plugins make a difference?

Does temporarily changing to another theme, twentyten for example, make a difference?

Do you log out of wordpress before testing? and close and reopen your browser? do you have your browser set to automagically enter your admin login when you visit your site? Because according to here http://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/registration-link-redirects-to-home-page/
I think you will find that it only works for logged out users… after all, why should a logged in member want to register?

Is your wordpress install in a subfolder? and is the redirection including the subfolder? So if your blog lives at http://mydomain.com/wordpress/ is the redirect link coming back from paypal http://mydomain.com/wordpress/?s2member_paypal_notify=1 or is it sending back the link without the folder like this http://mydomain.com/?s2member_paypal_notify=1

Are you mixing links? as in having some that are http://mydomain.com/wordpress/ and some that have the www bit in them like this http://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/

Since reinstalling didn't make a difference, it's likely to be setting somewhere that's so close to being right it's easily overlooked. (something I've found from past experiences)

Cheers
