Postby wesleysoccer » March 4th, 2011, 11:51 pm

When a user pay to join my site they are consider a s2member level #1...only problem when they arrive at bbpress they are a consider inactive and I have to change their role to member....Why is the s2member level #1 not giving them a subscriber role?

THanks in advance.

Did you look at the s2Member bridge integration with bbPress? You can find the details at

WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Bridges -> bbPress Bridge Integration

You probably need that for bbPress to talk with s2Member and see the membership level of your users.

Not sure though, I don't use bbPress, but I hope this helps you in some way.

Thanks for the comments but know this does not work...bridge works with what members do have access to the fourms but we close it down for the regular visitor. I want everyone to see the forums but restrict certain areas of the forums...

I see...

Since what you want is more advanced, I guess you'll need to modify your bbPress using advanced s2Member conditionals.

WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Advanced Query Conditionals

I'm not sure how much of s2Member is loaded when viewing pages in bbPress, even if bridged, but you can do some simple tests to see if the conditional functions will work there first.
