EOT/Delete - major concern!

We have a major concern with the EOT/Delete notification.
How am I supposed to know whether it's an EOT, or a Deletion???
It makes a big difference to what my software needs to do about it.
Please either separate this into two different notifications, or provide a parameter to distinguish the one from the other.
