Different Pay Levels, Access All Content

Postby Jacxon » March 12th, 2011, 9:18 pm

I've been searching other WP plugins for a membership feature that they don't have, but you might.
Does the pro plugin have he ability to have 5 different annual reoccurring pay levels for Paypal that access all the content including forum access (Simplepress) from one login? Then have the admin cancel the subscription before due date and have a different link to a higher or lower level annual payment?

For example: there are 5 payment levels. Student $35/year, 1st level $100.year, 2nd level $150, full level $250/year and faculty $200/year all reoccurring. Next year, a student becomes a 1st level and has to pay the higher subscription fee. Before the due date, admin can cancel the subscription and let it ride to the end of their year, but when it comes time to pay again, admin has put in a new link to subscribe to the higher fee.
Is this possible, or do you have a suggestion that comes close.

I understand that I will have to have 5 different pay buttons on 5 different pages. Would I be able to import 550 members and easily designate their individual pay levels?

I already have a different membership plugin on the site, but the programmer said he can't do a custom build with it to satisfy what I need it to do. I watched your "custom capabilities" video and read through some of the threads that have some similarities to what I need and I see that there might be some way to do this.

Can you explain if it can be done before I purchase s2 pro

Thanks

You may want to read in detail the documentation at WP Admin -> s2member -> API / Scripting. Particularly these:

  • Using Advanced Conditionals
  • Advanced Query Conditionals
  • s2Member Content Dripping

I think you may be able to use the dates they got a particular level to decide what button to show for upgrade next year. Your developer should be able to come up with something from reading those.

Still, feel free to ask anything else, we'll try to help as we can. :)

I was thinking about it and rather than date, if the last membership hasn't expired, you could just check the current level and that +1 will be the button you'll show for upgrade.
