New registration passwords not being sent

I'm in the process of setting up a forum for a client and I've installed S2 Member as they eventually want to start charging for access (a nominal fee to keep out spammers) - though we're letting it run free while we build up the content.
I've tried registering using a couple of spare email addresses and I don't get emails back with the password - which makes it pretty useless!
Might be that I've missed something obvious in setting it up - can anyone help me out please?
The website is
http://www.networkingwomen.org.uk/forumThanks in advance

Ah just to update - the passwords have been sent - but went directly to spam. Is there something in the settings that Ic an change to make them come from a genuine email address, as they came from the hosting company!

The email address in there is
info@networkingwomen.org.ukThe email that passwords appear to come from is
alison@theprooffairy.com - which is my email. it is the one that was originally used in the WP general settings when the site was set up, but has since been changed to the
info@networkingwomen.org.uk one.
Also in Gmail the messages go straight into spam with a warning that it may not have come from the person it says it's come from!
Please help ...!

I see what you mean.
Well, I don't know why those went to the spam folder, I registered a moment ago in your forum and the email with the password got to my inbox immediately.
It may be caused because of someone else in your same IP who's been spamming people and got the IP dirty. It's one of the disadvantages of being in a shared server. I don't know if that your case, though.
I guess you will have to give the person a message reminding her to check her spam box and if found there, mark it as "not spam" and add you to her contacts list.
s2Member is not the one that sends that email, though, which is why your s2Member configuration doesn't apply. It's an email sent by WordPress itself upon registration.
You say you already updated the email address in its configuration? WP Admin -> Settings -> General -> Email Address.
If that fails, you could go to your database, look at the users table and see if you find the email that's being used and change it to the one you want there.
Hope that helps.

I had a look at the database, all seems to be in order. Ended up finding a custom registration p[lugin that has let me specifiy the correct email and change the message that gets sent out.
Thanks

New User Email Setup - it's really good as you can completely customise the registration email.
