Amazon S3 Support

I know that support for Amazon S3 is said to be in the works for s2Member -- does anyone have an idea as to how soon it is slated to be released? I'd totally re-buy my s2Member license just for that functionality. It makes a lot of sense for anyone with a need to serve files larger than ~100MB or who want an ultra-fast connection.

In the mean time, hopefully my host doesn't suspend my account for exceeding their storage/bandwidth caps.

Yes, those rumors are true. We are working on this feature. However, we are planning to release that functionality along with the next major release of s2Member v3.6. As of right now, that's scheduled for release in the beginning of May 2011. This will give us plenty of time to finish testing things out.

We may have some beta versions available before then, so please feel free to write us again around the end of April. We'll be looking for beta testers for sure.

Unfortunately my 30 day trial of s3FlowShield ran out today, so I won't be available to beta test this any more, the advantage of only having to pay one license ran out today. Not particularly pleased with the lack of response on here Jason, have you been ill? When I first posted on this forum you where very responsive.

Support for Amazon S3 is now available in s2Member v110605+.
