Using Custom Fields with BuddyPress

I have a BuddyPress site that uses s2Member Pro. I have custom fields setup on my registration form. Each member has a BuddyPress profile.

Ideally, the member will create their account, then be able to access the data they entered into the custom fields from their BuddyPress profile. Instead they have two profiles that are completely separate from each other. I have been looking for weeks but have not been able to come up with a solution.

Does anyone have any suggestions for eliminating one of the two profiles but maintaining the data?

Hi! :)

This post by Jason may answer your question viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1192&p=8955#p8955

Basically, they're separate and you use one or the other, right now they don't work together. This is something that's being worked on to achieve, though.

Thanks, Cristián. I read through the other post...can you tell me more about what is being worked on? Is the idea to allow custom registration fields in s2Member and have that data automatically carried over to BuddyPress profiles? And is there an estimate on when this functionality will be available?

I don't have the details or estimated time, but it is being worked on. :)
