Can't afford Idev or Affiliate script check this out

Hey gang,

i'm not new to the forum just been a lurker for awhile but while searching for an affiliate script to work
with s2member. I notice a few people talking about idev which is an awesome script BTW but for some
people starting out it can be a bit steep $97 buck or what the price is.

So i went searching for an alternative that is opensource or free to use as u see fit, which lead me to
this very interesting affiliate script over at Affiliate For All

Now this is a free opensource script use at your own risk, but it is a start for someone just getting his/her
first membership affiliate site going.

Let me know what you guys think...cheers

David

Hey Jason,

i haven't tested this out but is there a chance of you testing this out
and see if it would work with s2member?

@COMPLETED/TODO :: Test Affiliate For All

Hi David. I took a closer look at "Affiliate For All". While this does look promising, it is being developed primarily for "Magento" integrations. Therefore, I would not recommend this application for integration with WordPress/s2Member. I would look for an application that integrates specifically with WordPress, or an application that is "stand-alone"; such as iDevAffiliate.

I recommend iDevAffiliate for affiliate integration.
Get the Standard version, it's $99, and worth every penny.

Integration instructions for s2Member/iDevAffiliate are available in your WP Dashboard, under:
s2Member -> API Tracking -> iDevAffiliate

iDevAffiliate also comes with full documentation, and s2Member is fully compatible with everything iDevAffiliate has to offer. iDevAffiliate is what we use @PriMoThemes.com.

Hi,

I've got about the same question.

Searched the web for a long time for Affiliate tracking programs.

Did find out Aff for all too. Nice, stand-alone but well, that should be a problem because a lot of affiliate partners are (often) a different kind of 'users'

But! in my situation the only thing I need is the following...

1- Affiliates (should) get x0% off the sales when paid for (paypal for now)

2- They must get their links and banners to referate

3- They should be able to see how much their links are clicked and how many became sales (max 6 different products)

That's all.... really hope you guys can help out my search...

Free would be the best (because starting up) but if their isn't any...

Hope one of you can help me out... the search makes me crazy by know... (sorry)

Why doesn't paypal offer such a thing (or do they?)

Hi Q. Thanks for the great question.
I'm sorry, but at this point.. I honestly cannot recommend a better solution than iDevAffiliate. We been through several of these affiliate apps, and I've been rather disappointed by them. Except for expensive solutions, iDevAffiliate is the only one on my list at this point ( best price / feature set ).

@TODO :: affiliate program integration; right into s2Member. If this is to remain in the free version of s2Member, I would like to see if anyone may be willing to contribute to its development.

Another possibility that will open up soon, is with services like PayDotCom, which can integrate with PayPal and provide affiliate reporting. Documentation on this topic is coming soon, under: s2Member -> API Tracking. Look for this in a future release. We had plans to roll this out awhile back, but Multisite Networking got in the way. ~ It's coming soon though.

Sorry to be late to the party, but I stumbled across this thread whilst searching for another item, and thought I would share something I picked up while using an earlier membership system and an affiliate script.

I had iDevAffiliate and the membership script I had would not integrate with it. (Actually, it would not integrate with anything, or so they thought.)

I found a little script called "IPNrelay.php" that relayed a true copy of the ipn message to any number of target scripts. I added the iDev required information in the "custom field," and pointed the IPN response to the ipn relay. Then I set the ipn relay to send copies to my membership script, iDevAffiliate and a small script I developed that subscribed my new member to an autoresponder email series. I created a simple and inexpensive method of integrating almost anything with the membership script.

While, since I am moving to s2Member, I don't need to do this for most of my needs, knowing that I can do this will give me a way to handle any future needs that s2 may not address.

It may also be something to explore in order to safely integrate Aff For All, or any other thing like that with s2 because it does not rely on s2 for any functions. It takes the messaging completely out of the loop.
