How to remove line breaks?

Hi,
I am currently using short codes for adding different level content to single posts, for example to divide a post into a public and a premium section. I noticed that adding short codes into the post (in the HTML editor) appears to create lots of additional line breaks, which creates more white space between the content sections than I would like to show.
Is there a way to avoid the creation of these line breaks?
Thank you, kind regards,
Steffen

Hi Steffen.
Do you have the same problem if you use the shortcode in the visual editor?

Hi Cristian,
thank you for your quick reply. It seems to happen only in the HTML editor; which is a problem because I am mainly using the HTML editor instead of the visual editor, as I add manually some HTML code.

I see. Well, for now you could switch to the visual editor to enter the shortcodes, I guess.
Does it do this with s2Member's shortcodes only or any shortcode?
Here are others you could try if you don't have more at hand right now:

Ok I guess I will survive with the visual editor for now. Correct me if I am wrong though, but are those shortcodes that you mentioned in your link not for Wordpress.com only, and not for a self hosted installation of Wordpress?

Oh, maybe they are, very sorry about that. I just googled WordPress shortcodes and saw that result at WordPress, but missed the .com instead of .org.
