Is it possible to have up to 8 member levels? If so, how would that be accomplished?

Thanks

Michael

Not at the moment, I'm sorry.

That said, why do you need so many levels? What they provide is incremental access, if you don't require that particular quality, custom capabilities may be enough.

Membership Levels provide incremental access:

* A Member with Level 4 access, will also be able to access Levels 0, 1, 2 & 3.
* A Member with Level 3 access, will also be able to access Levels 0, 1 & 2.
* A Member with Level 2 access, will also be able to access Levels 0 & 1.
* A Member with Level 1 access, will also be able to access Level 0.
* A Subscriber with Level 0 access, will ONLY be able to access Level 0.

WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Custom Capabilities

I hope that helps. :)

They have about 8 different yearly fees. So they start with the cheapest and then go up from there. :(

The increment is not about price, but access.

Could you please explain what those 8 levels would provide each? I'll try to help you figure out a way to set it up with s2Member.

Sure basically I have these members

Friends of the Chamber
Non-Profit
Home Based
Basic
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Diamond

They will all have access to the private members sections. I mainly need the memebership site to collect yearly dues from each member, export memeber info, Possibly even export members that have not paid there dues, Also I was wonding if the system would email members that are coming due and ones that are past due.

But Access levels to the site will be members only and then non members. I hope this makes sense. :)

OK, thank you. :)

Could you please compare the access each of those levels would have?

For reminders of expiring accounts, you can use a list server. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / List Servers

They would all have the same access. The only thing would be costs. So if I can setup 8 different charges for them that would be all is needed. They will all have same access on the site. :)

Oh, great! Then create eight Level 1 buttons, each with its own price and description. :)

really... I did not know I could do that. So I guess the issue would of been if I needed to setup different pages for each. :)

Is there a way to export the memebers so they can see who has not paid or who has paid and to export there fields?

Thanks so much for your help on this. I am feeling like it could work with this plugin.

In that case you could have just used custom capabilities. ;)

With s2Member Pro you can export the users, these are the fields that get exported:

  • ID
  • Username
  • Password
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Display Name
  • Email
  • Website
  • Role
  • Custom Capabilities
  • Registration Date
  • First Payment Date
  • Last Payment Date
  • Auto-EOT Date
  • Custom Value
  • Paid Subscr. ID
  • Paid Subscr. Gateway

I don't know if that's enough for what you want.

Yes that is great. Then i just need to link up Authorize.net and I will be good to go. So I do think this will work. :) Thank you so much for answering all my questions.
