I just installed the free vsn of S3member and updating my blog. So far, so good - thanks!

Question: If I buy the pro vsn, will the coupon codes work with basic paypal and clickbank?

The coupon codes will work with s2Member Pro-Forms, which are available for PayPal and Authorize.Net.

The PayPal pro-forms can be used with PayPal Standard too, not just Pro. I'm pretty sure the coupon code will work with PayPal Standart too, then, since it's something processed by the form on your blog and the calculated price is what's sent to PayPal, the coupon is not something PayPal processes. I'll ask Jason to confirm this, though.

I hope that helps. :)

Thank you for your prompt reply.

If the coupon codes won't work on paypal standard -- or with CLickBank -- do you have any suggestion for a work-around this? We want to offer a discount for multi-members and certain business leads. Thank you!

I just received confirmation that coupons will work when pro-forms are used, even with PayPal Standard Express Checkout. :)

Only s2Member Pro is able to produce coupon codes, BUT not s2Member free version? Anyone please confirm this.

Paypal Pro is not available in my country, only Paypal Standard. Will s2Member Pro assist in producing coupon codes in Paypal Standard?

Only PayPal Pro has coupon codes, the standard version doesn't.
Also only the Pro version of s2Member supports coupon codes, the free version doesn't.

Hope this answers your questions.

Thanks for the answers.

I thought I read somewhere in the forum that is a way to work around the problem. So that s2Member Pro can generate coupon codes in PayPal Standard.

I hope Support Reps will enlighten on this issue.

You could custom code a coupons system for PayPal Standard's buttons, it's not something that's in s2Member or s2Member Pro yet.

The s2Member Pro pro-form for PayPal could be used with just the Express Checkout and, from what I read, the PayPal account could be optional to receive payments. http://tutorials.zen-cart.com/index.php?article=28

With Express Checkout, the customer can pay without having a PayPal account (as long as you have "PayPal Account Optional" enabled inside your PayPal merchant account settings: Profile->Hosted Payment Settings->Website Payments Preferences->PayPal Account Optional = ON), except for merchants/customers in China.
