My new paid members are unable to access pages in the paid members area. When they sign in, they are directed to the right page, but from there they are not allowed to access any other paid pages.
Do I have to manually add them as users with s2Member and send them passwords?
I though that once they went through pay pal they would be able to access all of the paid member content.
Help!
I do have the page IDs set up properly. I am also using Optimize Press.

Hi Christina.

Could you post screenshots of the other access restriction panels next to the Pages one in the General Options page, please?

Also, did you check if the users that paid are set at Level 1 as supposed to?

Could you please share the shortcode you're using for the button/pro-form you sell Level 1 with?

Hey Cristian,
That's what I was wondering. I wasn't aware that I needed to manually set the paid users to Level 1.
That was the problem.
So a registered and paid user is unable to access paid content until I switch them to Level 1?
What if I don't check my email for a day (unlikely, but possible). Will that user be unable to get paid content?

Also, all of my access restriction panels are blank except for the one I sent to you.

Here's the shortcode for pay pal:
Code: Select all
<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">
<input name="cmd" type="hidden" value="_s-xclick" />
<input name="hosted_button_id" type="hidden" value="FLQHM6WJNME5G" />
<input alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!" name="submit" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/WEBSCR-640-20110401-1/en_US/i/btn/btn_subscribeCC_LG.gif" type="image" />
<img src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/WEBSCR-640-20110401-1/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" />
</form>

Thanks for the help....again! = )
Enjoy your weekend.

No, you can do it manually, but if your button is created properly, then PayPal and s2Member talk behind the scenes and the user's level gets changed to 1 (or whatever you set the button to be).

That button seems to be created over at PayPal. For that to work you'll need to follow the instructions Jason gives here viewtopic.php?f=36&t=309

That said, s2Member's generated button may just do all you need, so I'd suggest you rather use that.

WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Buttons

Let me know if that helps. :)

Thanks!
I went through those steps. Now, I'll wait and see if it does what I hope it will.
Have a good week.
