Trouble with Coupon code

I have a $197 membership Level 2
Coupon code = Save$98|98.00
provides a $98 dollar discount
I get this eror on submitting it in the check out form
Sorry, your Coupon is N/A, invalid or expired.
This is my short code for the ProForm

What am I missing?

That's weird. I tried that code and it worked for me fine, it's not even case-sensitive. Did you save the changes when you added the code? If you go to the coupon codes panel, is it listed there?

Yes, you had me going for a minute, so I just went back and it is there.

I applied the coupon in your form and I got the confirmation in a green box right above the coupon field that says "Coupon: $98.00 off. ( Now: $99.00 for 1 month + tax )" It worked for me.

No idea, really. I tried coupons in my test pro-forms while logged in as admin and the coupon still worked just fine. But it's good that it's working for you now.

Still having problems with coupon code, but now it is customers who tell me they get the error message

That very same coupon I tried in the very same form I tried it in? If you get an error when you try it, could take a screenshot?
Jason, would a JavaScript error cause the coupons to behave like this?

I just tried it too. It's working OK for me on that site.
No, JavaScript should not affect that return false.
Can you please confirm that you're typing this into the field: Save$98
and NOT this:
Save$98|98.00
