Authorize Net not capturing

I have set up autorize net and on the s2member pro plugin. Everything seems to be working in s2member (redirects, etc) but the transaction is not being captured by Aurthorize Net. I have been on the phone with them several times and researched the forum here. I set the API login ID, transaction key and set a dash in s2 member.

When I do a transaction it shows up on this end, but not on authorize net as an unsettled transaction. The last person there I talked to said there should be a place in s2 member that I can see what is not set correctly, and therefore not working. Can you tell me know to find it? By reviewing the forums I have gotten some of the other problems fixed with authorize net options and pro forms, but I am stuck on this one.
please help
thanks so much
bonnie

Hi Bonnie.

I can't get to the log entries. The link does not go to a page and tried to find it in the s2member admin panel...sorry, I am new at this. If you tell me where to look for the logs I can post them.

With your FTP client go to that directory I mentioned. When you have logging enabled, the transactions get logged in a file inside that directory. You have to run the transaction with logging enabled for s2Member to log the transaction.

If you don't have it enabled yet: WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> PayPal Account Details -> Enable Logging Routines.

Here is the log, I hope I pulled off the right thing. It is in the attachment, as I pasted it into word and it's really long. I copied two files.

I had to remove the log file because it had all the personal info in it and I felt it wasn't secure for you to have it publicly accessible.

I reviewed the entries and they seem fine, no errors, just successful transactions. I don't know why Auth.Net would not show them if it's telling s2Member via the IPN that they happened.

I can't imagine what setting you didn't set properly if the transaction is happening successfully, but just to be sure, please review that you have everything in order per the instructions in WP Admin -> s2Member -> Auth.Net Options

thanks for removing the file. I realized I didn't take off some of the information after I hit submit :o ! It all looked good to me too, so I will call Authorize Net again. thanks for your help!

You're welcome. :)

Make sure you login to the right Authorize.Net account if you have more than one, and that you search for the right transactions. I really don't know why they wouldn't be there if everything went fine.

:(
I called Authorize net again, and they insist everything is fine on their end. I have everything set correctly. To be sure, I redid all the numbers and made sure there were no extra spaces, as I know that can make a difference. The only thing the support person at Authorize Net could think of is that there is a problem with the silent post URL, is that something that I should send in a post to look at? I don't know what else to do. I could go with Pay Pal integration, but already pay a significant amount every month to Authorize net and my bank for merchant service, I don't want to pay another $60 a month. I am stuck! I am not using the clean theme at this point, but purchased it, would that make a difference? I use Host Gator as my hosting company and I don't think there is an issue on that end, any suggestions?? :(

Thanks for reporting this important issue.
~ and thanks for bringing this to my attention Cristián.

Let's please start again from the first post that you submitted.
When I do a transaction it shows up on this end, but not on authorize net as an unsettled transaction.

What IS showing up? Can you provide a screenshot?
Can you please clarify what you meant by that exactly? What is it that you feel is suppose to happen but is not? I just took a look at the log file you submitted originally, and I can see that your installation of s2Member is successfully connecting to Authorize.Net, and is receiving successful responses as well. So I'm a little bit confused about what's not showing up on which end, or please clarify for me :-)

For instance, I see this in your log file.
This data was logged by s2Member, but came directly from Authorize.Net servers.
So this tells me that Authorize.Net DOES have a record matching Subsription id: 9819497
Code: Select all
-------- Output string/vars: ( Tue May 24, 2011 9:19:08 pm UTC ) --------
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><ARBCreateSubscriptionResponsexmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="AnetApi/xml/v1/schema/AnetApiSchema.xsd"><refId>s2-1306271947</refId><messages><resultCode>Ok</resultCode><message><code>I00001</code><text>Successful.</text></message></messages><subscriptionId>9819497</subscriptionId></ARBCreateSubscriptionResponse>
array (
  'response_reason_code' => 'I00001',
  'response_code' => 'I00001',
  'response_reason_text' => 'Successful.',
  'response_text' => 'Successful.',
  'subscription_id' => '9819497',
)

Thanks!

Also, please note that your transaction log indicates that an ARB Subscription was created. This may not always result in an immediate charge. Perhaps that explains the issue you're having. To be sure, please post a copy of the Pro Form Shortcode that you're using on your site.

Are you offering a 5 day free trial?
That's what it looks like in your transaction log.

Yes,
I am offering a 5 day free trial, could that be the entire problem? I will send a screen shot of the authorize net response, but I bet it's the 5 day trial, I feel so stupid, I didn't think of that :oops: If that's all it is...that's great! thanks!!

Yep, that's it! Good, we got the mystery resolved then.
~ thank you VERY much for reporting back on this.
100% Resolved

You should have an ARB Subscription inside your Authorize.Net account, but no unsettled transactions will appear until the first charge is processed by Authorize.Net, based on the schedule of the ARB Subscription. An Authorize.Net ARB ( Automatic Recurring Billing ) Profile, is the equivalent of PayPal's Recurring Profiles. It's just a schedule for them to follow; it tells them when to bill the Customer.
