Affects of Changing Recurring Billing Rate

Hi, Just a quick question: If I change my recurring billing rate (I use monthly rates on my site), new subscribers will obviously pay this new rate, but how will that affect my current users subscriptions? In other words, if I increase my monthly rate, will my existing users wind up paying the new rate in the next billing cycle or would they stay at the rate they signed up at?
I'm sure this is documented somewhere, but I couldn't seem to find an answer.
Thanks!

If you change the rate in the button/form they use to subscribe with, then new members will get the rate, but exisiting members won't. To change the rate for existing payed subscriptions you need to edit it in the profile with the payment gateway you're using (e.g. PayPal).
