login redirect problem

I set a page(membership signup page) wherein if a visitor visits a page that is exclusive for members, he will be redirected to that page.
My problem is, after he logged in, hes still redirected to the membership signup page, and not at the page he wants to visit..

Could you please check the access the user has (level, custom capabilities) and what you protected that page with?
When he gets redirected, the redirection URL to the Membership Options Page should have some variables at the end, which you can use to know what restriction is at work.
Let me know if that helps.

I see, so you're having this problem because of that? I'm sorry, I really don't know which FB Connect plugin works with s2Member. I'll ask Jason in case he knows.

Thanks for the excellent question.~ and thanks for bringing this to my attention Cristián.Most of the FB connect plugins work the same way. They authenticate a User through FB, and an account is automatically created for them inside WordPress® with the Default Role, which is "Subscriber". So if you're protecting your content at Level #0, this should work just fine.
If you're protecting content at higher Levels, then those people coming in through Facebook Connect will need to pay for access to the higher Levels, using a PayPal Button/Form, or whichever Payment Gateway you've integrated with s2Member.
All of that being said, it sounds to me like you might have a larger problem here. You mentioned that your Level #1 account was being redirected to the Membership Options Page when attempting to view content protected at Level #0, is that correct? If so, that's definitely not right.
What browser are you using, Safari? Please see this bug report here for some additional detail.

Im still facing the problem, (
please refer on the pictre below)
http://lulzimg.com/i22/12cca6.pngI have blog on my site (consist of level-0 restricted category),
then once I visit the blog without logging in, it redirects me to my signup page (which is normal)
but when i logged on that signup page using facebook connect using my user account with level-1 subscription, I still remain on signup page and not redirected on the blog page as you can see on the picture..
I think theres problem on redirection..

I just logged in and took a quick look.
It looks like you have not yet configured s2Member with a Login Welcome Page.
Please see the attached screenshot.

Well, if you don't have a Login Welcome Page configured, s2Member will be confused about where the Subscriber should be redirected after logging in. So your control over this behavior is through the Login Welcome Page you configure with s2Member. Or have you done something to alter this behavior in some way?

Hmm Heres what im trying to point out..
I have a Members Area page (which contains the category that has level 0 access)
Once a non logged in visitor visits the Membership Area page, he will be redirected to the Membership Signup Page.. Then After he log in using facebook connect on the Membership Signup Page, Hes not redirected to the Members Area (which he wants to visit).. Hes logged in But still remained on the membership signup page..
Heres the preview:
take note at the URL..
Not redirected after logging In

So, what is the problem? That the person that logs in with a Facebook account doesn't get sent to a particular page right after login, or that he can't access Level 0 content although he's logged in?
The screenshot you just showed, says that the person got sent to the Membership Options Page because he was trying to access a category that requires Level 0, which doesn't look like he couldn't view the Login Welcome Page (it's a category that bounced him), but it does look wrong if he is logged in (Level 0).

Nevermind.
I used the Custom Scripting for this kind of redirection issue as an alternative.

All right, now I'm having the same problem I've been reading about a lot of other places: the login redirect problem. Here's the URL I get:
/membership-options/?s2member_seeking=page-908&s2member_level_req=0
I have double-checked the page-restriction options, the login welcome page option, etc.
I've spent way too many hours trying to figure this and that out, double checking my S2 settings, etc. I even did the FireBug thing and removed the whole hidden input tag, all to no avail. I'm starting to get desperate. We really need to get this site up and running ASAP, and this is a crucial factor that needs to be dealt with. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I'm using current version of S2Member Pro and WordPress. Current theme is an Elegant Theme. Current plugins are
- Limit Login Attempts
- Jetpack
- VideoPress
- WordPress Importer
- WP Show IDs.
I'd be more than willing to supply the info needed to access my dashboard to help solve the problem.
Thank you for your help!

You're being required Level 0 (being logged in) to view page 908. Is that the page you chose as the Login Welcome Page? The page you choose for that gets protected at Level 0 (be logged in), and you'd get sent to the Membership Options Page with a URL like that if you try to view it logged out.

I looked at the user status (under my WordPress dashboard) and they should have had the ability to view the login welcome page after I logged in.
Anyways, I got so lost in trying to solve the problem that day/night/morning that I eventually found a solution : ) I can't remember now exactly what I did, but it took some maneuvering to figure it out. If I remember one day, I could post what I did to maybe help others with the same problem.
Now, however, I'm noticing a different problem. When I login with a dummy account on my website, it tells me this:
503: Service Temporarily Unavailable
Too many IP addresses accessing one secure area!
Please contact Support if you require assistance.
I thought maybe this would only be temporary, but I tried logging on again with the dummy account and am still getting the message. I can login with my Admin account though, so not sure what's going on? I don't know if that's something I should ask WordPress about as well? Just curious if you've come across this problem before?
It may be worthy to note that this only started happening after the subscription of the dummy account ended. I purchased a subscription for something on my site with the dummy account, and it expired recently. After it expired, I've been having this problem.
Any help is much appreciated : )
Thanks,
Ray
