aweber and s2member integration

Afternoon all...I have read a couple of posts on this issue and am still a little confused.

What I want to do is to integrate the aweber and site (s2) sign up forms so that I can register a visitor for both with the one form. Is this possible. The reason for this relates to protecting free downloads used for optins so if there is another way to achieve this please point me in the right direction.

Cheers,

GJ

Right, to achieve this you integrate s2Member with AWeber and when someone moves to the level you integrated from the integration panel, he'll be added/moved to your list.

WP Admin -> s2member -> API / List Servers -> AWeber List Server Integration
WP Admin -> s2member -> API / List Servers -> Automate Un-Subscribe/Opt-Out

I hope this helps. :)

Thanks Christian...or should I say Merci Bien?

Checking it out now but it looks like the very thing I was looking for.

I have just started listening to the video and I note the comments that you will be working closely with Mailchimp. I had however understood that while mailchimp is a very good product, they do not handle affiliate marketers? Do you know if this is still the case?

De rien. :)

I don't know if that's the case with MailChimp and marketers, I do know they take care against spam from happening with their system. I don't see why the would not work with ethical marketers. Still, if you prefer AWeber, s2Member integrates with it too.

[Progress]Hi Christian, I have some [/Progress]kind of problem here wth my aweber integration. I notice that when a new visitor register as a new member I just get the name only. In this case I'm configruting a new custom fields in my s2 registration form just to obtain some other information, like, types of event news to receive. The visitors will select one or more event topics to the receive news and informartion by email. The problem is how can I configure and integrate Aweber list with that registration. In Aweber I can create segments from my mail list, I can create them but how can I point my new fields in my s2M form so that in my Aweber list they register in the kind of list they chosed from. Thank you!!

Sorry, this is something that you'd need to seek developer assistance with. Current versions of s2Member do not make this possible. That being said, s2Member DOES include quite of bit of detail in the email subscription requests that it sends to AWeber. A good developer that is familiar with AWeber Custom Email Parsers should be able to satisfy your requirements.

Another option would be to use MailChimp instead. s2Member's integration with MailChimp is better than it is with AWeber. s2Member can be configured quite easily to use MailChimp Interest Groups, and with a bit of tweaking, can also pass through Custom Registration Field data through MERGE fields configured inside MailChimp. If you go the MailChimp route, please see this post for an example of adding custom MERGE fields with s2Member hacks. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10148&p=20994#p20994
