Disable registration email

I am awaiting the update for confirming the password but while I wait for that I want to disable the email that is sent to users after they register. The one that has their username and password.

The reason I want to do this is because I have MailChimp integrated and the user will then receive 4 emails within a few minutes. WordPress reg info, list approval (MC), list confirmation (MC), list welcome (MC) which is a big pain in the ass. So I have disabled the list confirmation and want to disable sending the reg info as well. Is this possible or is it possible to send MC the information and then allow me to send it to the user?

Sorry if this has already been asked, I could not find it but that might be because it was named badly.

You can find 2 or 3 plugins for that here https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/se ... user+email

I hope that helps. :)

Is there any reason why this is not in the s2member plugin?

That it hasn't been added yet, I guess. s2Member didn't touch the new user email part. Since it can already be done with other plugins, I guess it wasn't urgent. The same is true for editing the new user email.
