Invite Anyone plugin for Buddypress

Howdy - does the Invite Anyone plugin for Buddypress work with s2member?

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/invite-anyone/changelog/

Invite Anyone allows to invite people to join Buddypress. I tested, and the invitation link emailed by the plugin does not work. Guess there is a conflict with s2member?

The invitation link looks like this:
http://MY_WEB/register/accept-invitatio ... AIL_DOMAIN

The %40 seems to stand for [at]

Thanks!

But is this to invite them register at the site or join a group? The description seems to say the latter, so I assume the person already needs to be a member there.

Other than that, I don't know the plugin and don't know what it needs to work with s2Member. If registration is open in your settings, I guess anyone should be able to sign up without a problem. WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Open Registration / Free Subscribers

The Invite Anyone plugin is for both: registrations and groups. It enables to 1) invite to join your Buddypress community (ie, to register) and 2) to invite members (ie, registered users) to a group (in Buddypress default, group admins/creators can only invite friends to their groups).

Do you happen to know of a plugin that would allow me to import users and assign them automatically a membership level? I am building a Community for an association with 1000 members. These are already paying a fee, and I'd need to import them so they do not have to go through the Registration process.

Thanks!

s2Member Pro has an Import tool that'd let you do that. http://s2member.com

Great! Thanks!

Do you have a more detailed description of the feature: "Advanced user import/export tools".

Also - re the additional payment gateways: do these work in Europe (EU)? PayPalPro, for example is only for US businesses. Thanks!

These are countries where you can accept Customers:
https://www.paypal.com/worldwide

These are the countries where certain PayPal Merchant services are available:
https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd= ... uct_matrix
( PayPal Pro is available in the US, UK, and Canada )

As far as I know, Authorize.Net only accepts US merchants.
PayPal "Standard" is available to merchants in Europe, but not the Pro version.

Thanks. You guys are great at responding. Yep, I knew that PayPalPro is not available for the countries I need. Otherwise, I would have bought s2memberPro a while ago.

Do you got more info on the import feature? Could I import people and assign any type of membership, also not s2member levels?

Yes, you can name what kind of member each is. Here's the Import tool's panel with its documentation. :)

The advantage of Invite Anyone is that you can allow regular members to invite their friends. It even works with Cloudsponge so they can pull email addresses from webmail accounts.

The reason why I came across this thread is because I'm having trouble activating the plugin. I keep getting the same error: Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/leadchg/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 27. Any ideas? I'm reaching out to the plugin developer too, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks.

Hi Mike. I don't see the relation with s2Member there, and I'm really not familiar with that so I can't help you, but lets wait and see if Jason has any ideas when he comes back.

So sorry, I'm not sure I fully understand. If you can post some additional detail about this error, and how it relates to s2Member, I'll be happy to take another look for you.
