Many issues in setting up PayPal Pro Form

Hi, Trying to setup and test my PayPal Pro Form and am having many issues.

1. For some reason, when I try to "generate form code" for any of the paypal pro form levels nothing happens. None of the shortcodes are updated. (Although I am not using them, I tried the buttons and the "generate form code" is not working for them either.)

2. Tried testing a paypal form using just the default shortcode is was giving me...
A. I have s2Member set up to send auto-generate passwords after registration, but in the form it is displaying a field for the user to enter a password.
B. Under "Billing Method" in the form it is just showing 7 radio buttons in a row. It is not showing any labels for these radio buttons so it would be confusing to the user to know what to select.
C. It is also showing a required field for "Card Start Date (mm/yyyy), or Issue Number" and displays at all times even if clicking on another radio button.

3. Also, ever since adding s2Member Pro to the site IE has been displaying an error on every page. If I deactivate s2Member the error goes away. Says: syntax error line 2 character 1.

Any ideas on what is going on? I'm trying to get this up and functioning to meet a clients deadline early this week. We are trying to keep the site out of the search engines while it is in production mode so if you need the url to take a look at the code just let me know and I can PM you.

Thank you!

Hi,
Are you getting the alert pop up window that tells you that your button has been configured?

Can anyone send me a link to what a normal paypal pro form generated by s2Member would look like?

This sounds like something in your Dashboard is causing a JavaScript error.
We are trying to reproduce the error.
What browser are you using?
Other than s2Member, what plugins are you using?

Thank you!

Primarily, I am using Firefox 3.6.9. However, I have also tried it in Internet Explorer 7 and had the same result.

It is a large site utilizing a lot of plugins...
Akismet
Broken Link Checker
Contact Form 7
Custom Post Templates
Enable Media Replace
FV All in One SEO Pack
Google Analytics for Wordpress
Google XML Sitemaps
Graceful Email Obfuscation
Inline Editor
List Category Posts
pageMash
Revision Control
s2Member
Shortcode Exec PHP
TinyMCE Advanced
TweetMeme Retweet Button
Wordpress Database Backup
WP-Testimonials
WP Hide Categories
WP Show IDs

I have deactivated each plugin one by one and tested, as well as deactivating all plugins except for s2Member and tested the generate code button. - No change.

I also deactivated my current theme and switched over to the Twenty Ten theme just to give that a try. No change there either.

As mentioned above the public view of the site is displaying a syntax error in IE on every page. However, this is only when s2Member is activated and seems to only appear when each page is initially loaded. If the page is refreshed, the error does not appear. ????

Also, In IE I have logged into my WordPress admin and it displays this same error, but only when on any of the s2Member pages. The error remains even when the page is refreshed.

... Another question for you, the credit card images displaying in the example link...

Should they automatically be showing up in my form? Or is that something I need to add?

Thnx

Any update on when these issues will be fixed?

Okay, unintentionally I have found the what was causing the errors & javascript issues.

Currently to hide the homepage of the Wordpress site all traffic is going to a "placeholder" default.html page on the server. When I took this page down and allowed everything to go right to index.php it seemed to fix the problem for whatever reason.

The only thing that still remains is that the password fields show up in the form even though I have set it to autogenerate a password. But no biggie, I can take the password fields out of the checkout form file.

How did you get rid of the Card Start Date or Issue Number field?

Jason just mentioned that field related to Authorize.Net forms, but the answer may apply to this as well...

Here's what he said:

Jason Caldwell wrote:The Card Start Date and Issue No. fields are only applicable with Maestro/Solo/Switch cards used in the UK. These are normally not implemented with Authorize.Net accounts, so they are safe to remove.

That being said, s2Member automatically deals with these fields ( i.e. hides/removes/disables ) these fields whenever it's JavaScript library is loaded into your theme ( among other important things too ). I just received your email via support. On your test page, I see that s2Member's JavaScript is not getting loaded at all. Have you disabled this in some way? If not, let me know and we'll take a closer look to see why s2Member is failing to load the JavaScript library on your installation.

You should have a line in the <HEAD></HEAD> section of your source code that looks something like this. s2Member inserts this dynamically using core WordPress framework Hooks. Normally, the only way to disable this is by removing and/or dequeing s2Member's WordPress Hook. If you've had someone working on your site, they may have removed this by mistake. If the problem continues, please let us know.

Code: Select all
<script type='text/javascript' src='/?ws_plugin__s2member_js_w_globals=f7488&#038;qcABC=1&#038;ver=3.5.3-1.5.3-1954377333'></script>

Yes, I did that and it worked, so this has been solved.

Thanks so much!
