Author subscribes and is demoted

Postby DomainWorldAccess » September 12th, 2010, 4:02 pm

How can I create subscription logic which does not demote those already authorized beyond the scope of S2Member but who pay for their subscriptions via S2Member? I recently had a case where a user who had previously been assigned author level access was demoted when she paid her membership through the site. Is there a fix?

Thanks so much - Loving this plugin.

Could you not set up the logic of the buttons to make sure that it kept the access? for example if member level 2 show this button, if level 3 show that button?

An author is beyond the scope of S2's membership levels...

I was afraid of this.. I am looking to charge contributors to post, not subscribers to view.. I take it s2Member does not do that then?

Be more afraid of the black hole that is support for paying customers. Not even sure how to approach getting questions answered. This one is over a month old, and I am still waiting. I guess that is an answer in its self, isn't it?
