Showing excerpts to non-members

I have protected page using tags, categories and posts.
My question is this: is there a way for non members to see the same excerpts a member sees when he searches via tags or the drop down category menu? (as a teaser). I'm using buddypress and made a simple child theme based upon bp-default.
If not, what is the best way, or work around, for me to show non-members teaser excerpts?
