Problems with Quick Cache

Postby indiapoint » September 9th, 2010, 9:28 am

I have installed the quick cache at my site http://www.i3pep.org/archives/

It seems to be working as seen from the code inserted. However I find:

1) Firefox does not seem to recognise

2) The http://www.webpagetest.org/ gives it an "F" for "Cache Static Content"

viz. http://www.webpagetest.org/result/100909_4KF2/

any reply particularly for the second point would be helpful.

thanks

There is another problem. It seems that the cache removes the closing html tag.

I did check using FF: your cache works good for me.
Using Pingdom Tools your site is not that bad:

Thanks for reporting this important issue.

If you're seeing differences from one browser to another, it is most likely caused by your status in different browsers. By default, Quick Cache does NOT cache pages for logged-in visitors, including anyone who has recently left a comment on your site. In other words, if you use Firefox yourself, or you've used that browser to leave a comment on your site in the past, you may see different results in that browser, as opposed to quick tests that you might run in other browsers that you don't really use regularly.

For the most accurate testing, I suggest clearing history, cookies, and temp files on all browsers.
