Membership Login & Sign Up Not Showing Up

OKay.... This is probably 101 but I have been watching every video and still can't figure this out. I have 3 pages that need to have access restrictions. I would like these three pages to be for members only. I have everything downloaded and all of the set-up done. I entered the page restrictions using the page numbers. Now the content is unavailable...

What do I do now?

I would like the registration/login information to appear on the pages. HELP! I have been trying to figure out this riddle for the last 8 hours. I understand that it is getting re-routed to the login or membership page. How do I have the sign-up info on there?

Melissa,

It sounds like you need to create a Paypal Button in WP-Admin -> s2Member -> Paypal Buttons so that your members can purchase access.

Did you read WP-Admin -> s2Member -> Quick-Start Guide? Each section in there explains how s2Member works.

PayPal doesn't need to be setup if you're not gonna receive payments. What you have to do is go to WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Open Registration and set everything over there.

I am still having issues... I went to open registration and made sure that it says free subscribers. Now I would like to connect the registration page to my login. I found this on the site but am unsure what it means:

"you might want to place a link on your Membership Options Page, which points directly to your Registration Form"

How do I place a link on the membership page to the form?

You can place it wherever you want, can be your sales page, membership options page etc. Anywhere you think it's appropriate.

Try logging out to try that link.

Can you maybe start a little form the beginning? I am not sure that I am placing the link in the correct area. Where exactly on the site am I pasting this link? On the membership page under the html code?

I am hoping that the members sign-up form will be on the page or pop up when they try and access a member's only section of the site. I am just not sure how to connect the dots.

I will not be processing any payments, etc. It is only for controlling access to has the information. This does not have be a very secure site the HOA just wants to restrict access to who can download forms, etc.

OK, I understand that, basically you want to restrict access to users that are not member, and you want to restrict certain pages only, am I right? If I'm wrong please tell me again.

Yes you will need the pro version to do that.

By default, your visitors will need to go to the WordPress registration page to register. You can send them there by placing a link to the registration page anywhere that makes sense (such as the Membership Options page). It doesn't matter where it goes, as long as non-members can view the page where you put the link. You might want to say something like "Please click here to register".

Another option that may work better for you is to use a WordPress plugin that let's you put the registration form on any page, instead of sending people to the WordPress registration page. This way you could add the registration form directly to your Membership Options page.
