Email notification to manually added subscribers

Hello all,

I'm using the S2Member plugin for what it does (obvious) but there are still a lot of people who don't want to pay by PayPal and prefer paying with a cheque. So I need to add them manually into WordPress so they can access the website. Now it's been more or less one year I'm using the system and I'd like to know if there is a chance to send a notification email so these people can know their membership will be ending soon. More important, I'd like to know what needs to be done for these manually added customers to receive an email notification from S2Member.
I assume this is done by S2Member and not by WordPress, so that's why I'm asking.

Thanks for the excellent question.

At this time ( s2Member v3.5.8 ), there are no email routines processed before renewal, at least not by s2Member. You might check with your Payment Gateway ( i.e. PayPal, Authorize.Net, ClickBank, etc. ).

That being said, if you need to contact your existing paid Members I suggest using a plugin like MailPress. s2Member also comes pre-integrated with MailChimp and AWeber. These services will also come in handy for sending reminders and other custom notifications.
