Hi, I've spent quite a bit of the day on trying to get WordPress and bbPress to play nice together (before introducing the s2Member Pro bbPress Bridge Integration into the mix). By "play nice together", bbPress was able to see my Admin account, and as I added new Users in WordPress they were also listed as Users in bbPress (it defaults them to 'Inactive').
I (mostly) followed this URL to help get them working together:
http://wordpress.tv/2009/01/23/integrat ... wordpress/
(It's a bit outdated but it got me pointed in the right direction.)
Some installation notes:
(A) While there are a bunch of different ways to make this work, my bbPress forum is in a subdirectory:
http://www.mydomain.com/forums
(B) I'm sharing the WordPress User's database table.
(C ) I'm not using the standard wp_ or bb_ database table prefixes (for security).
(D) I've got both Cookie and User Database integrations set up.
Then I decided it was time to introduce s2Member Pro's bbPress Integration:
(1) I installed the s2Member Pro bbPress Bridge Integration piece.
(2) As WordPress Admin, I navigated to the bbPress /forums site. It recognized me as the Admin there was well. All is still good.
(3) In bbPress Admin area, I went to Settings => WordPress Integration to set the User Role Map.
I expected to see s2Member Subscriber Roles #0 through #4 in the User Role Map, however it was not there. I've attached a screenshot.
I can confirm that the s2Member Bridge is listed in the Manage Plugins area of bbPress.
Obviously, no matter which non-Admin user I attempt to login with I get redirected to the Register page defined in s2Member.
But at this point I don't know what to check. Could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Bob
