Message Board / Forum Plugins with s2Member

Hi,

Anyone have any advice for a decent solution to integrating a Message Board / Forum feature to a s2Member Pro driven website? Here's what I'm looking to do:

- Create a platform where some s2Members may (or may not) be Committee Members.
- Committees are pre-defined and members can fall into a Committee, but cannot create their own.
- If they are a Committee member, then they would have unique access to a Committee Message Board Page (for each Committee) where they could interact with other Committee members in a Message Board format.
- Ability to upload files for sharing between fellow Committee Members.

Could anyone recommend a WP plug-in which in your experience plays nice w/ s2Member? And which also may meet some of the basic criteria listed above?

I've tried installing the BuddyPress plug-in, but seems a bit much for what I need initially.

Oddly enough, something like this message board plugin would work well if stripped down.

I remember some users mention Mingle being really good, but I don't know if it does all you need it to do.

I've also come across Mingle and it does look alright. Basically I'm looking at Buddy Press, BB Press, Mingle, Simple:Form, and was wondering if any developers had any positive experiences with any before I move full speed ahead.
