Is there a way to send confirmation email after a user signs up?

Hi 42and1,
Check out the "Paypal Options" section there is a "Signup Confirmation Email (Standard)" section that you can edit the content of the confirmation email.

You can also edit the "Specific Post/Page Confirmation Email (Standard)" under Paypal Options.

does it still work if you don't use paypal as a payment and free memberships only?

On account creation, WordPress sends the new user an email with his login data. This email can be customized using a plugin like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/new ... il-set-up/

strange...when user signs up, wordpress doesn't send anything now

What did you change before the email stopped being sent? Are you sure it's not sent? Did you check the spam folder?

I'm having similar issues with my site as well, it doesn't seem to be affecting all users but certain ones that use CCs to pay for the subscription never get their username and password email. I am also using buddypress is this a s2 issue or a general wordpress not sending emails issue?

uurayan, I'm not sure. Does your WordPress send other emails?

Could you post your log entries (x'ing out private info) for the transactions that aren't getting the email sent?
