Paying Referral Commissions to Members

Postby mcgregorsmarketing » August 31st, 2010, 11:27 am

I just bought the s2member pro addon and I was wondering if there are plans to incorporate a way to pay commissions to members for introducing new paying members?

That would really be a super tool for membership growth.

Cheers,
Steven

Hi Steven.
Thanks for purchasing s2Member Pro.

Yes, we are certainly considering this. There are plans to release a BETA version of this functionality to our s2Member Pro customers. We'll be integrating this as a separate add-on for s2Member, but it will become available for free to existing s2Member Pro customers sometime around the beginning of Nov.

Excellent. I will hold off launching my new site until then. Gives my loads of time to make loads of content.

Thanks.

Hello ~ I am also very much interested in this. I am also holding off the launch of my site for this reason. It doesn't have to be perfect. Any quick solution with an extensible design would be greatly appreciated. As always, improvements can follow.

Currently, since I have Buddypress installed, I use this plugin:

http://buddypress.org/community/groups/invite-anyone/

However, it cannot give commission or incentive for referrals.

thanks in advance!

There are extremely important reasons to have this business functionality. For example, in the classical book of business, "Crossing the Chasm", Geoffrey Moore talks about how important "word of mouth" and referrals are. For both early adapters and early majority groups a recommendation from a friend goes a loong way.
