Question re 2 Membership Options Pages

I have 2 Membership Options Pages

One is open to the public where they can purchase the PDF and Forum combo. This page is currently the official Membership Options Page.

The second is password protected and open only to people who purchase the book on Kindle or Smashwords. The price is lower on this page as it is only for purchasing the Forum.

The question is - is this okay to do and will S2 treat the private page correctly?

How is it private? Because you don't share the link to it elsewhere than your Kindle version of the book or did you apply an s2Member access restriction to it?

Correct.

Since they just bought the book on Kindle or Smashwords, they haven't paid on my site and so haven't signed up via S2.

It's password protected because only the Forum option is sold on that page so it's only available to people who have already purchased the book.

OK, then you're giving them in the Kindle book, the link to a private page where they can pay for access to the forum?

Other than not making the link to the private page, are you restricting access to it with s2Member in any way or anyone with the URL to the page would be able to open it?

I am not restricting access to it with S2 Member in any way at the moment.

People would have to have the URL and the password to open that page.

I don't want to make them sign up for membership before they see the offer - that would be too many hoops.

If they have what they need to view the page, then I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I just wanted to make sure that S2 would treat the Paypal button on the second (private) page the same as it does the button on the Membership Options Page.
