PayPal PDT

Postby ciccio8 » September 9th, 2010, 5:47 am

Hello,
i'm going to use the free s2member in my brand new site.

But because I use the same paypal account for payment with another web site, if I turn on PAYPAL PDT Auto Return Integration,
every client (even those of my old site) will be redirected in the URL i put in PayPal PDT ?
Should I use another PayPal account?

Tnks in advance

Hi there. Thanks for your inquiry.

In addition to your default PayPal® account configuration, the Auto-Return URL is also set on a per-transaction basis from within the special PayPal® Button Code that s2Member provides you with. In other words, if you have multiple sites operating on one PayPal® account, that's OK. s2Member dynamically sets the Auto-Return URL for each transaction. The result is that the Auto-Return URL configured from within your PayPal® account, becomes the default, which is then overwritten on a per-transaction basis.

---------------------------------------------------------
Relevant section of your Button Code:
Code: Select all
<input type="hidden" name="return" value="http://www.yoursite.com/?s2member_paypal_return=1" />
---------------------------------------------------------

So you could do something like this:
- Configure the default setting in your PayPal® account to work with your existing site.
- Then just give s2Member your PayPal® PDT Identity Token.
( all is good in the world )

I think it means that the whoever you sent the payment has either not received or claimed it. make sure you sent the payment to the correct email address. i had a similar problem recently.
