Hi. I'm running S2 on multisite (under blog farm mode), and using S2 for a few sub-sites.
Most of my sub-sites/blogs are not running any membership, although S2 is still installed and activated sitewide.
I usually remove (hide) the S2 menu for those sites/blogs (using Admin Menu Editor plugin) to keep the admin interface clean.
I also usually end up having to set a Welcome page and a Membership options page on those sites/blogs that are not using membership, only so that I can remove the S2 warnings seen in the dashboard. Otherwise I don't really wnat S2 setup for most sub-blogs (with a few exceptions, so I can't turn off S2 globally).
1) On a particular site I'm getting strange redirects to the Membership Options page by S2, even though I have no membership Restrictions of any kind on this sub-site.
Any page that I set as the Welcome page I get a similar redirect problem where it redirects to the Membership Options page ('horse-training' in this case):
Entering (where About is Welcome page)
http://arabianhorsecenter.com/about/
goes to
http://arabianhorsecenter.com/horse-tra ... evel_req=0
Entering (where Contact is Welcome page)
http://arabianhorsecenter.com/contact/
goes to
http://arabianhorsecenter.com/horse-tra ... evel_req=0
Have no membership levels or access restrictions set on this sub-site.
As a temporary work-around I created a page published page with slug of 'membership' and assigned it as Welcome page. In essence that page is unused, no-index, not in menu.
Any other ideas on how to turn off membership redirects where membership functionality is not wanted on sub-sites without having to do a work-around like this?
2) Is there a way to turn off these S2 dashboard warnings for sites where I don't want to use membership? Or bettery yet a way to disable membership functionality altogether for sub-sites/blogs on a sub-site/blog basis?
Thanks,
Jeff
