Configuring a Multi-Site Blog Farm with Buddypress Installed

Postby gregpfielding » September 14th, 2010, 2:26 pm

I have a multisite blog farm AND use buddypress. The problem is that there are conflicting instructions for the registration page.

On one hand, it says that if you use Buddypress, the signup.php page is replaced with register.php - This is what I have and want.

BUT,

On the Multisite Configuration tab, it states that if you have a blog farm you MUST use signup.php

Multisite Networking also makes a new Registration Form available ( driven by your theme ); which we refer to as ( wp-signup.php ). If you're planning to offer Blogs, you MUST use wp-signup.php, instead of using the Standard Login/Registration Form.

How can I get multisite blog-farm functions if we use the buddypress registration process?

Thanks!

To clarify, I'm not planning on letting my members create their own networks, just blogs. I'm sure the answer is simple...any advice?

Thanks!
