hi, i am using optimize press and s2members pro. i use a page with a registration form of optimize press to access free content (sales page in squeeze style, see screenshot).
the form is integrated with mailchimp (works). however, i want the user who registers over this form becomes an s2member level0 member. how do i do that? thank you for your help!
hi cristian thank you for you support! actually, i have watched the video and taken all the steps and it still doesn't work...
The status is as follows: 1. s2member api-list-servers contains my mailchimp info. 2. s2members custom registration fields/ options are set as displayed in the screenshot.
3. the optimizepress form contains the embed html code of mailchimp. 4. when a user registers thru the optimizepress form, his adress and username are added to mailchimp list. 5. however, the new user is not shown in s2member --> browse members
please help me - need the weekend to work on that. thank you so much, t.
ps: i tested to register using the regular wp-register-form: then the new user is shown in s2member --> browse members. however, not shown in mailchimp list. it seems that my mailchimp list does somehow not work together with s2members.
I see. The problem is that the OptimizePress form you showed me before, is not a WordPress registration form, just a opt-in form for MailChimp. That's why he gets added to the mailing list, but not WordPress.
What I was suggesting was to use a WordPress registration form instead of the opt-in form. This would create the account and, if you integrated s2Member with MailChimp, also add him to the MailChimp list.
thanks for your answer, i see yet i would love to use it since it integrates so nicely into the page without having to use a sidebar. do u have any idea how i can use that registration form instead or link it to wordpress registration? thanks t.
Well, if you have s2Member Pro, you could try editing the template for the free registration pro-form, so it looks as much as possible to what you have now.
Or you can use your current form, but point it to a custom script that uses s2Member's new API to create users. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Pro API for Remote Operations
hi cristian, thanks, i will do that since i have the pro module. however, that was another issue i face - i uploaded the pro folder, but not such options as e.ge. paypal pro-forms are displayed in my s2members options.... any ideas? sorry for asking so many questions. thx in advance!
but still mailchimp integration does not work! using WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Pro-Forms -> Free Registration does not add any members to mailchimp. i did view the tutorials and checked the settings several times. i have no idea! i appreciate your help.
Please double check your MailChimp API key to make sure you copied it correctly. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / List Servers -> MailChimp
You can also enable logging, they also log list server integration, which would help finding what the problem is. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Account Details -> Enable Logging
