Passwords - Lost Your Password Not Working?

We a user requests that they have lost their password and clicks on the link below the login pages. It states that a temporary password will be emailed. However, sometime a password never gets sent. If the password is sent is take up to 20 minutes. How do we correct these issue?

Sometimes emails take that long, for some reason. Since some emails do arrive, even if not immediately, that means WordPress is sending them. Why don't you ask your hosting service provider about this, maybe they can do something to improve it.

I checked with the hosting provider they claim that everything was working fine. We did a test and logged into the email account and sent out several emails to external addresses and all of the emails arrived to the recipients within 20 seconds. When we registered a member using s2Member and clicked the submit button to send out the temporary password to the end user the message did not arrive for hours. We then logged back into the email account and sent a message directly from the email client and the message arrived within 20 seconds. The email sent via s2Member still had not arrived. Any suggestions?

Hmm... Well, the Lost Password function is WordPress', not s2Member's. If you disable s2Member and use the Lost Password, does the email arrive fast? What happens with other emails like the one for new users with their login info?

We have not tested this yet. However, it is working now. There may have been problems with those users email. They are all using the same email server. Thanks for your help.
