CCBill Problems

Hi guys,

A few big problems with CCBill processing that's making me reconsider using s2member:

1) No check or phone payments. When I processed with PayPal I constantly got bank/check payments. This seems too important, so not sure why it would be left out.

2) Although I can select a different currency when creating a button, this is not dynamic. Meaning, if someone from Japan visits my site and tries to join, they will be forced to try and pay in USD. The only option currently that s2member gives, is for me to create a button for every currency - which does not make sense. The currency should be dynamic, preferably letting ccbill do this on their end - but according to them, geo currency is not available with dynamic pricing.

It'd be smart to do away with dynamic pricing all together and integrate with ccbill like amember pro does. Accept phone/check payments and in any currency. I talked to ccbill support and they were wondering why I was using dynamic pricing as well...

UPDATE: I'm thinking I can just turn off and ignore dynamic pricing and create the ccbill links manually myself. Since all the data link/ipn stuff is still integrated I would assume that means s2member can still catch the payment and register the users and track them, too. Unfortunately, the mastercard test #'s don't work and s2member doesn't create an account (and I don't have a mastercard or discover cc, visa hasn't approved me yet)

1) Yeah, those aren't available yet, but I think Jason mentioned in another reply to you that he'd be looking at how to add this.

2) You can change the currency in your shortcode dynamically using PHP with the currency code attribute.
WP Admin -> s2Member -> ccBill Buttons -> Shortcode Attributes -> cc

If you create the buttons outside of s2Member, these instructions written for PayPal buttons may be helpful to understand how to have the button work with s2Member: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=309#p1333

1) Okay, I read his response, didn't see it before!
2) I read over all of that but I'm still not sure how I'm going to dynamically change the currency for people. Do you have any idea how I would go about doing this?

Also, changing the currency code also doesn't help because the price change then also needs to change. So if it's $29.99 and you change the currency code to JPY then the form won't even load because it's an invalid price....

This would be so much more easier if it utilized ccbill's forms instead of trying to do this dynamically

Ah, I see what you mean with the price. Well, you can still adjust it dynamically with some work, but it'd probably be worth looking at how to make ccBill's form work with s2Member. The thread I pointed you to about making PayPal created buttons work with s2Member may be helpful for this.

I took a look at the thread you linked to about PayPal buttons a few times but I don't see how it could help me with ccbill. Anyways, if there's a way you'd be able to assist me with the currency/pricing I'd be happy to pay you for your time...
