I am new to using s2Member - Need some direction / advice

Postby mooredb » September 27th, 2010, 8:59 am

I am working on a car club website that has an annual membership and I would like to be able to do the following:

1. Customize the registration form to have titles above certain sections, perhaps borders for sections with titles. We have a lot of information that we need to have the new member fill out, it would be easy to read if it were broken down in sections on the page.

2. Is there a way to export or run reports on all records non-memebers/expired/active memebers? We would like the ability to be able to export all records to a .cvs so that we can create a mailing list.

3. I would like to be able to have them fill out the registration form first before they pay. Worried that after they pay, they won't take the time to fill out the form.

4. Is there a way to be able to send out email from within wordpress to the members? It would be great to have the ablility to send out announcements and upcoming events to all memebers.

Thanks for any help or tips.

Hi,

1.You might be interested in the latest version of s2Member, it includes:
* Custom Fields ( new features ). s2Member is now equipped with a VERY powerful set of features; designed to extend the functionality of Custom Fields. s2Member now supports Text Fields ( single/multi-line ), Checkboxes ( single/multi-option ), Radio Buttons ( single/multi-option ), and Dropdowns ( single/multi-option ).

In addition, with s2Member it is now possible to configure Custom Fields differently for each Membership Level. Other tools: including Validation Formats and Visibility are also available. For full details, check your Dashboard under: s2Member -> General Options -> Custom Fields.

2.Import/Export functionality is available with s2member Pro.

3.With the s2member Pro Forms you can have your user register first.
Click her for a demo:

4.s2Member comes integrated with AWeber© or MailChimp©
For more info go to:
Dashboard -> s2member -> API List Servers

Elizabeth,

Thanks for the tip. I do have the latest s2Member plugin, but still didn't see where I could add title and break out the sections better. I'll check it again, I just downloaded it yesterday and started creating my form.

Thanks for the other advice. Look like I'll need to go ahead and purchase the pro ver.

Thanks.

I purchased the Pro ver. now I am trying to figure out how to setup my form like this. But I don't want to use the PayPal pro becuase of their extra fee.

I like this layout.

Check out this previous post for more option other than PayPal Pro:
http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=619&p=2962&hilit=recurring#p2962

Especially the part about ERP;
If you add ERP ( Enhanced Recurring Payments ) to an existing PayPal Standard Account, then your Customers will NOT need to have a PayPal account in order to complete checkout, EVEN if you're going to do recurring billing. So this is a great alternative to PayPal Pro. It prevents your Customers from being "forced" to signup for PayPal during checkout. However, they still MUST go through PayPal ( so they do leave your site during checkout ). In other words, it's not the same as PayPal Pro, but it will help you to increase conversion rates slightly.
