Hiding the Required Name from Profile Edit Area

Is it possible (where do i) hide the Full Name Field (required) so that a user does NOT have access to it in their Edit Profile area?

Our users submit this Display Name when they purchase and we don't want it to be changeable. We're hoping this helps clarify some of the confusion users have in "if i give you my name is it going to show on the site?, and which name do i use to login?"

Is it possible to hide it just from the edit area?

You could try hiding that field in the profile page using CSS.
