Free-Trial Level0 upgrade to Paid Level1 ?

My site provides Free-Trials by letting users join at Level0 (rather than delaying the initial charge), so they get a WordPress User account, but it does not have any payment or subscription information for Paypal.

How can a Level0 / Free-Trial member UPGRADE to a Level1 Paid member? How can i connect a new Paypal subscription to an EXISTING wp user?

I'm sure this is covered somewhere in the docs, videos, or forum.. but i haven't found it yet.

I have s2mPro (v110915) and wp 3.2.1
